ANNOUNCEMENTS (Updated 3/30/04) I set up a team party for Sunday, May 16, from 3-5:30 at North Kansas City Community Center. It was the earliest I could book the facility, and I figures it would be okay to wait until May to have a get-together. We will have a room for trophies and either pizza or cake from 3-4 p.m., then we have access to the pool from 4-5:30 p.m. The package doesn't include any basketball or climbing activities, but there is a game area with foosball and air hockey. The Community Center is kind of strict about the pool. The package allows for 25 swimmers, and there must be one adult swimmer (in suit, at the pool side) for each five younger swimmers. So, I'm taking volunteers. I don't mind a good chlorine soaking, but I'll need help for this to work for everyone. I also need to have a signed waiver (I have copies of the waiver). And all swimmers must wear legitimate swimming trunks with liners (no shorts, no cut-offs). Also, they told me that anyone who wants to use the waterslide must not have any metal rivets on their suits. I know, lots of rules. I've set up three fun,
free play sessions in late April and May as follows: These are chances to get in the gym, go up and down for a bit. I hope to have camp information for the Claude English Academy by the end of April. As in years past, I'm almost certain that Stampede players will get a break on the camp. More details will follow. Anyway, that's the latest update. -DM If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. |
