Below are the items that our donor school has requested
along with their assigned *SNEA point values.
Backpacks = 250 points
Loose Leaf Notebook Paper (100 sheets) = 25 points per pack
Spiral Notebooks (70 page) = 25 points per item
Markers (8 count) = 50 points per box
Pencils (packs of 10 only) = 10 points per pack
Colored Pencils (16 count) = 75 points per pack
Glue Sticks = 15 points per stick
Glue (regular 4oz bottle) = 15 points per bottle
Folders (two pocket) = 5 points per item
Erasers (rectangle and pencil top) = 5 points per eraser
Binders ( 2 inch) = 100 points per binder
Binders ( 1 inch) = 50 points per binder
Rulers ( 12 inch) = 10 points per ruler
Protractors = 10 points per protractor
Compass = 25 points per compass
Calculators (basic function) = 50 points per calculator
Pens (black or blue ink / packs of 10 only) = 20 points per pack
* The school supply drive is held in conjunction with the upcoming student conference in January. Each chapter earns points according to the items they donated. Points are then tallied and which ever chapter collected the supplies with the highest point value wins an award at the conference. The school that benefits from our chapter donations this year will be Garcia, an urban school where many Park students do practicum and student teaching.
Any items that you can collect up until the time of conference can either be brought to Dr. Lofflin's office or you can contact Lisa at gaumejones@aol.com to arrange a time for her to collect your items.
